چکیده

This paper presents a computationally efficient model for vibratory pile installation. A semi-analytical finite element (SAFE) thin cylindrical shells is derived to represent the pile. The linear dynamic response of soil medium described by means Green’s functions via Thin-Layer Method (TLM) coupled with Perfectly Matched Layers (PMLs) account underlying elastic half-space. Furthermore, non-linear pile–soil interaction addressed through history-dependent frictional interface and visco-elasto-plastic tip reaction that can be characterized on basis standard geotechnical in-situ measurements. solution problem based sequential application Harmonic Balance (HBM). constituent components are first benchmarked against established numerical schemes. Subsequently, predictions compared experimental data collected from field tests. It demonstrated proposed amalgamates rigorous theoretical elements promising prediction capabilities in framework, applicable engineering practice.

Thermoelastic Interaction in a Three-Dimensional Layered Sandwich Structure

The present article investigates the thermoelastic interaction in a three-dimensional homogeneous and isotropic sandwich structure using the dual-phase-lag (DPL) model of generalized thermoelasticity. The incorporated resulting non-dimensional coupled equations are applied to a specific problem in which a sandwich layer of unidentical homogeneous and isotropic substances is subjected to time-de...

A General Boundary-Integral Formulation for Zoned Three-Dimensional Media

A new boundary-integral formulation is proposed to analyze the heat transfer in zoned three-dimensional geometries. The proposed formulation couples the boundary formula, the gradient of the boundary formula, and the exterior formula. An advantage of this formulation over the traditional methods is that any linear condition at the interface between subdomains may be incorporated into the formul...

Modeling of vibratory pile driving

Vibratory installation of piles and casings can be extremely economical and therefore the contractors’ preferred method of pile driving. Compared to impact pile driving it also has the advantage of reduced noise pollution. Unfortunately, this installation method is still fraught with uncertainties. The foremost question is driveability and equally important is the question of bearing capacity o...

Three Dimensional Non-linear Radiative Nanofluid Flow over a Riga Plate

Numerous techniques in designing zones happen at high temperature and functions under high temperature are in a way that involves non-linear radiation. In weakly conducting fluids, however, the currents induced by an external magnetic field alone are too small, and an external electric field must be applied to achieve an efficient flow control. Gailitis and Lielausis, devised Riga plate to gene...
